FINAL Transnational Project Meeting of UpSailing in Portugal

We successfully concluded the final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) for Upsailing, hosted by ISQ in Lisbon on June 25-26, 2024!

During this pivotal event, we:
– Presented the outcomes of our initiative to develop Open Educational Resources, aimed at upskilling employees, shipowners and VET providers in the maritime sector.
– Evaluated the achievements of our e-learning platform and outlined its future development steps.
– Shared updates on the Green Label Registry and our policy recommendations.
– Strategised for the upcoming Multiplier Events.

We are thrilled to share the success of our UpSailing Curriculum, which is now available! Designed to address the green skills gap in the maritime/shipping sector, this curriculum offers targeted training for VET institutes, current employees, and shipowners, equipping them with vital green skills.

Project UpSailing aims to:
– introduces a holistic methodology that will bridge VET Education and the Maritime/Shipping Industry
– promotes a green certification system
– contribute to the respective policy dialogue with lessons learned and good practices that will be developed throughout the project.
