On June 4-5, the Up-Sailing JSTA event in Rome brought together industry experts, educators, and maritime enthusiasts for two days of inspiring and interactive sessions. The event focused on the pivotal role of sustainability in the maritime sector and how vocational education and training (VET) can foster green skills. Day 1: The Green Transition in the Maritime Sector
The first day was dedicated to “The Green Transition in the Maritime Sector.” Participants dived into a hands-on role-playing activity that showcased innovative green practices, allowing them to experience firsthand the challenges and solutions in the field. The session also featured compelling pitches from industry leaders, presenting cutting-edge strategies and technologies aimed at reducing the environmental impact of maritime operations.
